Keio University Library has concluded partnership agreements with Waseda University and Hitotsubashi University Libraries. The agreements are intended for the mutual use of the library facilities and collections.
Notes
Students and full-time faculty/staff members are subject to the partnership agreement that allows them to visit and use the libraries of Waseda University. The below table shows the names of the libraries and what you need to bring when visiting. Note that some libraries require a letter of introduction. Ask a reference librarian at Keio University for details.

Keio-Waseda Library Passport
You may pass through the security gates of the following libraries of Waseda University just by tapping your Faculty/Staff ID card (for full-time faculty/staff members) or Student ID card (for undergraduate/graduate students) on the reader of the gate machine.
Central, Toyama, Science & Engineering, and Tokorozawa
Full-time faculty/staff members or professors emeriti are able to check out Waseda University Library’s books just by presenting their Keio University ID/library card at the counter. A registration via KOSMOS is required in advance.
In addition, the same service will be available to graduate students from November 2024. They will be able to check out Waseda University Library’s books just by presenting their Student ID card at the counter. A registration via KOSMOS is required in advance.

Self-Service Photocopying: 10 JPY per page in black and white

Book Delivery:
The service is free of charge; the requested books will be delivered to Keio University Library, and kept for you for 2 weeks; the delivered books are for in-library use only and are not intended for checking out.
Document Delivery:
This is a paid service; 20 JPY per page in black and white; 60 JPY per page in color. We cover your fees up to 3,000 JPY.
*Full-time faculty/staff members or professors emeriti are able to request Waseda’s books via KOSMOS, and have them delivered to Keio University Library to check out. In addition, the same service will be available to graduate students from November 2024. Please read the below guide for details.

Full-time faculty/staff members or professors emeriti are able to check out Waseda University Library’s books just by presenting their Keio University ID/library card at the counter.
In addition, the same service will be available to graduate students from November 2024. They will be able to check out Waseda University Library’s books just by presenting their Student ID card at the counter.
Please refer to KOSMOS Help for instructions for the registration. As soon as your registration is completed, the service becomes available right away. You may visit Waseda University Library and borrow their books in person. You may also place book delivery requests via KOSMOS, and have Waseda’s books delivered to your desired library of Keio University. The borrowing process is same as the way you do at Keio University Library.
*In case that both Keio and Waseda hold your desired book, use Keio’s holdings if at all possible.
*We do not newly issue the blue library cards that have been issued for borrowing from Waseda.

*You may neither return nor re-borrow Keio’s books at Waseda University Libraries.
-Maximum number of loan items: 5
-Maximum number of book delivery requests in process: 5
-Loan period: 2 weeks *Note that the long-term-loan is not applied to the membership.
-Maximum length of period for renewal: 42 days *If the books is reserved by someone else, it cannot be renewed.
-Overdue fines: There are no overdue fines accrued. The overdue does not affect requesting and renewing. However, you cannot newly borrow a book when you have an overdue item.
-You are responsible for the loss or damage of materials you have borrowed and may be held responsible to replace them. Please reach out to the pickup library immediately.
Students, faculty, and staff (excluding part-time) can access the Hitotsubashi University libraries (The Library, Institute of Economic Research Library, Research Center for Information and Statistics of Social Science, and Chiyoda Campus Library). The necessary materials are below.

There is no special treatment.
If you have "神奈川県内大学図書館共通閲覧証", a common university library entry pass, you can visit the member libraries of Kanagawa Library Association (KLA).
The pass can be issued at the Media Center Reference Desk at your campus (Hiyoshi, Yagami and Shonan Fujisawa only).
Please bring your student / faculty / staff ID card, library card, or campus card.
The pass is valid during the academic year.
If you wish to renew, please apply again at the Reference Desk.
Please present the common university library entry pass and your ID issued by Keio University at the library you are visiting.
As a general rule, you can browse and photocopy materials, but the rules differ depending on the library.
