The Mita Media Center currently subscribes to many newspaper titles from various countries and regions. Newspapers are in various mediums including originals, reduced-size editions, microform, and in digital formats. When using, please refer to the list below.
【First Floor Lounge】
Current issues are kept here. Foreign language newspapers are primarily ordered by country and Japanese newspapers are arranged as miscellaneous, economic, and local newspapers.
【Second Floor West Reading Room】
Reduced-size editions are kept here. Many of the major Japanese newspapers are in reduce-size edition medium.
Back issues of original newspapers are kept here (current issues of major Japanese newspapers are also kept here on the third floor.) Major newspapers are in the newspaper file, and to access other newspapers, ask a staff member at the Third Floor Serials Counter. The storage period of original copies differs according to each newspaper, so please confirm this in the above newspaper lists.
【Fourth Floor Basement】
Microforms are kept here. Many major Japanese and foreign language newspapers are converted to microform. When using, please bring the microform you wish to read from the fourth floor basement and visit the Third Floor Serials Counter.
【University Library (Old Building)】
Bound original newspapers are kept here. Please be aware that usage varies depending on the language.
